The Herd Sires of Ideuma Creek

Peruvian The Scotsman - Reserve Color Champion - $2500

Son of AOBA Nationals Reserve Color Champ, Scotty himself is a multiple blue ribbon winner and a reserve color champion.  He's full Peruvian, solid true black and beautiful.  He's got amazing fleece - fine, dense and crimpy, awesome coverage, excellent conformation and that confident herd sire presence.  Scotty now has ten ribbons to call his own including four firsts, 4 seconds and a third, all at large, well respected shows.  Judges have made comments on his density, consistent crimp throughout his blanket and on his outstanding fineness and handle.  Proudly co-owned with Highland Alpaca.

Accoyo Invasion - Multiple Color Champion - $3000

Vasi just has everything going for him.  He's a beige full Accoyo out of SA Accoyo Royal Avenger and a grandson of the legendary Royal Fawn.  His lineage speaks for itself.  On top of this, Vasi can't seem to do anything but win in the showring, sometimes even showing in remarkably tough huge white classes.  Vasi currently has 2 color championships, 3 reserve color championships, 9 blue ribbons and 2 second place ribbons.  Judges from all over agree.  Vasi is the total package.  He should be ready to breed in the fall of 2006. Proudly co-owned with NYALA Farm Alpacas.

Pirate - Multiple Blue Ribbons in Halter, Fleece & Obstacle - $2000

Pirate is one very rare suri.  He's a gorgeous maroon Full Bolivian boy who covers black.  To have this much color in a suri is enough in itself.  It gets even better.  He's never produced a huacaya.  To date Pirate has sired 23 cria - all have been suris!  We were lucky enough to be able to purchase Pirate from Karen Dewhirst, fiber judge, who has used Pirate as the back bone of her suri breeding program.  Judges have praised Pirate's uniformity of lock, excellent conformation and fineness.  He has wonderful luster and a perfect bite.  Pirate's cria are all over the country in some excellent breeding programs.  We can't wait for our first Pirate cria that are due here at Ideuma Creek this summer.

Perucoyo CA Icon - Full Peruvian, Half Accoyo, Victor Grandson - $2500

True Black Full Peruvian herd sires are hard to come by.  Add to this mix the elite Accoyo bloodlines of the late Victor, and you have Icon.  He is a huge boy who towers above other males older than he is in our pasture.  He stands straight and tall, showing off his beautiful Accoyo fleece - dense with tons of bold Accoyo crimp and a wonderful neck he inherited from his grandsire.  Both Icon's sire, the multi-blue ribbon winning McGwire and his grandsire, Victor, have shorn over 14 pounds of fleece.  We're talking dense here.  Both McGwire and Victor have sired many, many blue ribbon winners.  Icon's grand dam, Accoyo Rosemary, also has a track record of producing national champions including Penny Royalle, Camilio Jr. and Rosehip.  Icon was born in November of 2004.  We're expecting that he'll be breeding next spring in 2007.  We can't wait to add Accoyo Victor, Accoyo McGwire, and Accoyo Rosemary's bloodlines to our herd through Icon!

Solar de Peru - Sire to Multiple Ribbon Winners - $2000

Solar was an in-utero import out of Ppperuvian Sunflower, a medium fawn female from the 1996 importation by Alpacas of America.  Solar is a beautifully fleeced large male with more than 50 cria on the ground in a wide range of colors.  Solar, almost always, breeds color when bred to color.  We think this is due to two small fawn spots on Solar's hip, only noticeable when he is shorn.  Solar has never thrown a blue-eyed white despite the fact that he has often been bred to spotted animals.  Solar's cria are known for their incredible fiber-filled faces, outstanding coverage and fine, dense, crimpy fiber of color.  Several of Solar's cria have been shown and taken ribbons.  Additionally many farms have chosen Solar sons as herd sires for their own farms.  If you consider personality in your herd sire choice, Solar also has this going for him.  He is a sweet boy, a gentle, yet effective breeder, and his offspring all seem to inherit his friendly, laid back nature.

Cymon - Rose Grey Creator of Beautifully Colored and Fibered Cria - $1500

The list of Cymon's attributes is long.  He's a beautiful soft grey with a light rose tint.  His fiber is incredibly soft and dense, a trait he inherited from his sire, a Linda Berry Walker hall of famer.  He has a wonderfully sweet personality.  He's gentle and easy to work with.  Cymon's fiber is also quite close to solid.  Except for a small brown spot on his hind quarters, Cymon's entire blanket, legs and most of his neck are solid rose grey, a trait very rare in grey alpacas.  But, with out a doubt, the best attribute of Cymon's is the quality of colorful cria that he produces.  To date, Cymon has thirteen cria - 6 grey (both rose grey and silver grey), 4 black, 2 maroon and 1 white.  He simply produces knock-out, highly desired colors.  Cymon also passes on his fine, dense, crimpy fleece and his excellent conformation.  His bite speaks for itself.  Cymon is now 12 years old and we have never had to trim his teeth!  Consider Cymon for incredible color, beautiful fiber, excellent conformation and sweet disposition.  Check out his cria.  They speak for themselves.

Midnight - True Black Suri with Lots of Color and Lots of Locks - $2000

Son of the infamous Peruvian Angel, Midnight seems to be carrying on his sire's tradition of passing on beautiful color and luster to his cria.  Because of Angel's recent death, Midnight's genetics are even more sought after.  Peruvian Angel is the sire to many award-winning suri cria including Azalea, a blue ribbon winner, owned by Park View Alpacas.  Peruvian Angel was the first suri stud in the country to produce black cria.  With more than 100 cria on the ground, his legacy lives on.  We are proud to have Midnight here at Ideuma Creek to carry on his bloodlines.  Midnight is a 3/4 Peruvian and 1/4 Bolivian male who has just started his breeding career. Midnight produced 5 cria for us here at our farm last year.  Each and every one has rich color and impressive locks.  Lance, Millie and Jonny all have beautiful true black locks and Yeti and Emily both proudly display brown locks.    Midnight has two cria due here at Ideuma Creek this year.  Keep checking back to see what new cria we can add to his line up of offspring.

Bolivian Mr. Joshua - Sire to Blue Ribbon Winning Black Cria - $1500

Josh is the son of Bolivian Cheiftain, one of Alpacas of America's best herd sires.  He's full Bolivian, so dense you can barely part his fiber, and he has coverage to die for.  Josh has so much confidence and such a presence that the moment you see him there is no mistaking him for a herd sire.  He has produced some simply gorgeous cria.  One of them, IC's Josh's Midnight Bandit, is a true black male that continues to bring home ribbons.  Most recently he took a blue at The Rhinebeck Fleece Show in the fall of 2005.  Josh also has several brown, fawn, and white cria.  His cria inherit his density, his beautiful face and top knot and his very high frequency crimp.  Since Josh covers black, he is capable of producing any and every color cria.  Bolivian Mr. Joshua is proudly co-owned with Alpaca Fantasy World.

Bolivian Boots - Color and Crimp the Full Bolivian Way - $1000
